- Infrared Lamps or IR Lamps
Infrared lamps are electrical devices which emit infrared radiation. Infrared lamps are commonly used in radiant heating for industrial processes and building heating. Infrared LEDs are used for communication over optical fibers and in remote control devices. Infrared lamps are also used for some night vision devices where visible light would be objectionable.
- Electric Duct HeaterElectric heating coils (duct heaters) are constructed of electric resistance heating elements, which are placed in the airstream (of an upstream air handling unit). When an element is given power, it heats up and glows. The heat from the element is transferred to the air passing over it.
- Screw Immersion Heater
Screw plug immersion heaters consist of tubular elements in a threaded hex plug. Some models are provided with a thermowell for the temperature control sensor and a variety of electrical enclosures for electrical connections. They screw directly through threaded openings in tank walls to heat liquids, viscous fluids, forced air, and gases by direct contact.
- Flange Immersion Heater
Flange immersion heaters are constructed of hairpin bent tubular heater elements brazed or welded into ANSI standard flanges or plate flanges of various shapes and sizes. ANSI flange heaters are typically used for large volume, high power and/or higher pressure applications. Plate flange heaters are typically custom designed for use in smaller pieces of equipment such as boilers and chillers.
- Quartz, Teflon and Titanium Heaters
Quartz and Teflon resistors with holes in the plate for easy installation and replacement. Terminal covers liquid coating and prevents the entry of liquids. Thermostats or thermal fuses high limit are available as options and avoid heater damage due to loss of fluid or low fluid. Titanium heaters are available and are highly resistant to corrosion and can withstand the chemicals and harsh environments.
- Ceramic Infrared Heaters
Ceramic infrared heating elements are used in a diverse range of industrial processes where long wave infrared radiation is required. Their useful wavelength range is 2–10 µm. They are often used in the area of animal/pet healthcare too. The ceramic infrared heaters (emitters) are manufactured with three basic emitter faces: trough (concave), flat, and bulb or Edison screw element for normal installation via an E27 ceramic lamp holder.
- Tubular Heaters
Tubular heaters are a great economic way to provide background heating for endless numbers of possible locations. The heaters provide low level heat and are very economical to run; this is because they use around the same amount of energy as light bulbs.
- Band, Ceramic, Nozzle and Plate Heater
Band, Ceramic, Nozzle and Plate Heater are used to heat the external surface of drums or pipes using a gradual heat, generally used for heating of plastic molds, molding presses, thermal panels, hoppers, etc. Heat is conducted directly from the heater element and is applied to the heated material, thus having high heating efficiency.
- Finned Tubular Heaters
Tubular and Finned Tubular elements provide a highly efficient, reliable and cost effective means of supplying heat directly to air, various types of liquids and metals.
- Cartridge Heaters
Cartridge heaters are most frequently used for heating metal parts by insertion into drilled holes. For easy installation, the heaters are made slightly undersize relative to their nominal diameter.
- Strip Heaters
Strip heaters are versatile heating elements used in a wide variety of applications. They are generally considered both cost-effective and easy to install, providing dependable surface-contact heating, particularly over wide areas. Easy to control, these heaters can be purchased in a wide variety of wattages and are available in regular strip and finned constructions.
